What is a limiting belief that you hold about your pain?
Living with chronic pain is hard; it can change the way you perceive yourself – about your abilities, worth, or relationships. Limiting beliefs are the things that you believe to be true about yourself that hold you back.
With chronic pain, this can look like believing that no one wants to be around you, that you can no longer participate in a hobby that you love, that you are not deserving of quality care, etc. These will be different depending on your own situation and experiences. They are generally untrue, harmful thoughts. But, being aware of them can help so you can work toward challenging them.
What do you think your limiting beliefs are related to pain? What do they hold you back from?
